Medical Imaging
Mammoth Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department is proud to provide state-of-the-art imaging equipment and technology. Our department houses a Philips Digital Radiography room, Philips Multi-Purpose Special Procedures Digital room, 64-slice Philips Cat Scan with multi-planar reconstruction and true 3D volume rendering, GE MR Scanner, and Hologic Full Field Digital Mammography department.
Our Medical Imaging Department is complemented with three DR (Digital Radiography) systems located in the Emergency Department trauma room and Orthopedic Clinic. Two ultrasound machines are used to perform exams from routine abdomen to vascular and ultrasound needle guided biopsies. Three C-arm fluoro machines are used for surgical procedures. We also perform Echocardiograms used to evaluate the heart.
Our digital mammography unit is the newest technology in breast cancer detection. Digital mammography is said to be the biggest advance in mammography in 30 years. It allows for faster acquisition, fewer total exposures, and less patient discomfort. Our mission is to provide the most comprehensive and complete diagnostic services in mammography.
