Mammoth Hospital’s Behavioral Health team operates from a Primary Care Mental Health Integration model. What is Primary care mental health integration or PC-MHI?

  • This model provides patients with a care team that includes your Primary Care Provider, Behavioral Health Care Manager and Psychiatric Consultant
  • In this model or treatment our patients have a team of providers that work together to address both chronic conditions and acute stressors
  • In working to address episodic stressors and/or behavioral issues affecting health, we offer brief 30 minute sessions with a Behavioral Health Provider, utilizing a solution focused approach, aimed at targeting one symptom at a time and providing patients with tools to improve symptoms that might be impacting other areas of their life.
  • Psychiatric consultation with our psychiatrist allows for support with medication management of illnesses that are not responding to brief, short term treatment

If it is determined by the behavioral health provider that a patient needs a more long term approach of therapy, we have a limited offering of 60 minute therapeutic sessions in our traditional clinic. Services would include a more in depth, longer term approach to improving quality of life and targeting symptoms.
