Biography

Katie works to provide patient-centered care, doing her best to align treatments with patients’ personal goals and motivations. She strives to work closely with her PTs to maintain a cohesive team and provide consistent, effective care.

She began her journey to Physical Therapy on the parallel path of athletics- first as a swimmer and runner, then as a rock climber. Her earlier career as a staff photographer and Ansel Adams Gallery Guide in Yosemite cemented her bond with the Sierra Nevada. After obtaining her Wilderness First Responder training, she developed an interest in the medical field.

As an athlete, pursuing further education as a Physical Therapist Assistant was the perfect fit. During her PTA program, she worked as a Medical Assistant in a busy Orthopedic practice in Truckee, CA. This also provided invaluable experience in the world of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

Katie considers it a privilege to serve our community and work with Mammoth Hospital’s highly-skilled Orthopedists, PTs, and PTAs. Recently, she has pursued continuing education in the fields of Women’s Health and Endurance Athletics, hoping to better serve active women of all ages in our community.

In her free time, Katie enjoys nordic skiing, swimming, cycling, and baking.
