Biography

Brittaney “BK” Vargas is an Emergency Medicine physician at Mammoth Hospital and also practices at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Southern California. Dr. Vargas grew up in Beaumont, CA and went to college at UC San Diego. She graduated with a major in Biology and a minor in International Studies.

Dr. Vargas took a year off before medical school and spent the year traveling and working for the Boys and Girls Club as a Youth Development Professional. She then moved to Madison, WI where she attended the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Vargas returned home to Southern California for residency at Loma Linda University and started at Mammoth Hospital after graduation. Professional interests include wilderness medicine, global health, and diversity, equity, & inclusion in medicine.

Dr. Vargas enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and dog. They especially love camping, overlanding, and hiking.
