Biography

Eryn is an Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who joined our Behavioral Health team in 2016. Eryn works from a Jungian based orientation, using an integrative approach based around family systems theories, person-centered therapy, and cognitive behavior therapy. Her areas of expertise include family and couples therapy as well as child and adolescent psychotherapy.

Eryn grew up in Southern California, but her father has lived in Mammoth for 30 years, so she has always had a place in her heart for Mammoth and has called it her home. She permanently moved to Mammoth over a decade ago and has since made roots in the Eastern Sierra.

Eryn obtained her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and is currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC). Prior to Mammoth Hospital, she worked as a MFT Intern for Health and Human Services in Inyo County, in Bishop CA. She has also worked for Outreach Concern in various Catholic Schools in South Central Los Angeles and Santa Monica. It was in this training that she found a passion for working with underserved communities, children, adolescents, and families. Eryn believes in an integrative approach to the therapeutic process both in her theoretical orientation and services provided to clients.

When Eryn’s not working, she’s taking time to play outside. Her passion for the outdoors started when she was a young child growing up exploring the Sierra Nevada. Today that passion has become a part of her daily life. Hiking, backpacking and mountaineering are some of her favorite activities. According to Eryn, escaping into the quiet, peacefulness of the backcountry and challenging herself to get there brings her more joy and solitude than any other experience. Grabbing her cross-country skis or taking off the mountain to snowboard in the winter allow her to satisfy that craving for exploring and being outside.
