Biography

Dr. Jonathan Bourne has been an Anesthesiologist at Mammoth Hospital since 1986. He was born in Australia, but grew up in California, New York, and the Philippines. Dr. Bourne fell in love with the Sierra Nevada mountains while in medical school and residency in Loma Linda, California, and feels fortunate to have made his home here in 1986.

Dr. Bourne enjoys spending time with family, travelling, and participating in running, hiking, mountain climbing, skiing, and bicycling. Dr. Bourne has done temporary anesthesia work at multiple hospitals throughout California as well as the US Virgin Islands. He took a leave of absence in 1996 to work six months in Australia and has volunteered for medical missions in the Philippines and Mexico.
