Welcome New General Surgeon, Sarah Sindell, MD

Sarah Sindell, MD
Mammoth Hospital is proud to welcome Sarah Sindell, MD; the newest member of our General Surgery team.
Dr. Sindell grew up in the foothills of Western Maine, in a small college town called Farmington. She went to Siena College and majored in Biology prior to attending Albany Medical College in New York. After Medical School, she relocated to Seattle, Washington for her General Surgery Residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center. While in residency, she met her husband. After five years in Seattle, Dr. Sindell wanted an adventure both personally and professionally, so she and her husband moved north to Anchorage, Alaska.
Dr. Sindell worked at Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage for five years serving the Native Alaskan population and where she learned about the indigenous people of Alaska. She and her husband spent their free time exploring the state fishing, hiking, and biking. Dr. Sindell loves to travel and has spent time in Africa, South America and Europe; mostly backpacking, hiking and following professional bike races.
The Sindells have a 2 and a half year old son who loves various explorations and adventures, as well as all things bike-related. Their second child was born just this year. Dr. Sindell and her husband are excited to be living in a place as beautiful as Mammoth Lakes with so many opportunities to explore and enjoy the magnificent Eastern Sierra.
