Lynda Salcido was born in South Dakota, but grew up in Downey, California. Lynda obtained her Bachelor’s degree at Cal State Long Beach and pursued her graduate studies at Azusa Pacific University.

Lynda was an Oncology Nurse Specialist and worked in the management of hospice programs from 1978 until 1996 when she moved to Mammoth Lakes. She has also done consulting, quality assurance, contracting, home health care compliance, hospice certification, and clinical nursing instruction.

She is still active in the Noon Rotary Club, Mammoth Lakes Women’s Club, and The Original Book Club. She and her husband, Greg Newbry, both enjoy life in the Sierra and all the area has to offer.
